Maureen has been working with Microsoft SQL and its component parts, Integration Services, Reporting Services and the Database Engine for almost 25 years.

Prior to the job role being called a data engineer, it was called a BI developer and Maureen worked in that role, as well as a database administrator of both transactional and analytical databases.

Maureen developed SSIS Packages when that was the Microsoft tool to do ETL and now works in Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory. As Microsoft has combined the role of developing and maintaining a Data Warehouse and designing and implementing pipelines to do ETL, into the reporting tool of Power BI, the focus has shifted into the Fabric.
